Evenflo has issued a recall for 74,710 All4One 4-in-1 child seats after a safety concern was identified, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The recall involves a potential issue with the adjustable recline mechanism, which may shift out of its proper position when the seat is used in the rear-facing mode.

Safety recommendations for consumers
Despite the recall, the car seats are considered safe to use while awaiting further replacement instructions, provided that "hands and fingers are kept away from the recline mechanism when the seat is used rear-facing", according to the NHTSA. Consumers are advised not to return the car seats at this time.
Evenflo will provide a free replacement for the affected child seats. The company is expected to begin mailing notification letters to owners on January 26.
