Ford and its luxury division, Lincoln, have issued a safety recall affecting 561 SUVs from model years 2020 to 2026. The affected vehicles are specific Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator models with an identified issue in the second-row outboard seat belts, which may not be properly attached.
An improperly secured seat belt poses a significant safety risk, as it could fail to provide adequate restraint during an accident, potentially leading to injuries. According to the company, three field reports of improperly attached seat belts have been recorded.
