Graco has announced a recall of its Snugride Turn and Slide Infant Car Seat, citing structural issues with the product's base. The recall comes just three months after the car seat's release in January, following laboratory tests that identified the problem, the company said in a statement.
The affected models were sold nationwide at major retailers including Target, Walmart, Amazon, Babylist, and the GracoBaby.com website between January and March 2026. The recall specifically applies to the car seat base, though Graco has assured consumers that the product can still be used without the base if the provided instructions are followed. The stroller component of the travel system is not impacted by the recall.
"We know parents rely on Graco products every day, and we understand this may create frustration and disruption for families", the company stated.
How Customers Are Affected
Graco is offering a free replacement base to consumers who purchased the recalled seat. To obtain the replacement, customers are required to submit a photo of their product through the company's website.
The following products are affected by the recall:
- Model numbers: 2231809 (noir/black), 2231887 (sandstone/tan), 2231806 (mulberry/girl-plum), 2231885 (sandstone/tan), 2231881 (noir/black), 2231884 (noir/black)
- Car seat base model: 2231810 (black)
- Travel system model: 2243083 (noir/black)
The Snugride Turn and Slide is one of Graco's rotating infant car seat models, which also include the EasyTurn and Turn2Me. However, only the Snugride Turn and Slide has been flagged for this recall.
Consumers with questions or concerns about the recall are encouraged to visit Graco’s website for detailed instructions on submitting their claim for a replacement part.
